People don't think that immigrants are a benefit, but actually they are wrong. The way they are a benefit is that one it causes economic gains for the U.S. (Benefits of Immigration). Immigrants also take the low paying and low skilled jobs instead of the other residents (illegal immigration to the United States). They can also increase the cultural diversity because of so many coming in. It can bring an increase in the standard living of the immigrants that are coming from somewhere else. We can also have a younger workforce so more people can have jobs. Doesn't that help the economy? They also think that some people have some or a lot of skill in a much needed sector or certain jobs. A good example is when Mexican farmers come from Mexico they can help out the farming industry which is needed for food(Benefits of Immigration).
Most people don't think that immigrants is a benefit to the U.S., but in fact they increase employment without crowding out americans.They also increase the GDP of the recieving country without making the average wages and average income per person become bad. A study in Califorina found that immigrants who arrived in the state between 1990 & 2004 increased wages of native workers by an average 4%.("The United States Benefits From Immigration").
In Washington D.C. they showed that a man who is a immigrant between ages of 18 to 39 had an incarceration rate of 5 times lower than people born in U.S.("The United States Benefits From Immigration").
By increasing consumer demand,immigrants generate economic growth which benefits the middel-class. Immigration is also a major contributor to the expansion of Hispanic and Asian-American counsumer markets which in 2004 was estimated to make up 12% of the nations ETM's purchasing power.("The United States Benefits From Immigration")
With out these workers the productivity and economic growth would be slower and items and buiness would decrease and there would be fewer jobs for skilled labor (vang).Immigrants are'nt just workers, but comsumers and they demand for products and services which does expand employment(vang).
